COBOURG HEARING CENTRE

COBOURG

PROJECT

SCOPE OF WORK

Logo design.

Branding.
Print.

THE CASE

Cobourg Hearing Centre is a new audiology clinic opening in Cobourg Ontario. Their experienced team of registered audiologists recognizes the busy schedules and transportation limitations of their clientele. That’s why Cobourg Hearing Centre is pleased to offer after hours and weekend appointments, as well as home visits.

OUR APPROACH

Cats Media rose to the challenge of creating an identity from the ground up. We developed a contemporary interpretive styled logo that resembles the circular inner ear, while also giving a nod to the waterfront which is a synonymous staple of Cobourg. Through the use of a cool and inviting colour palette and the use of gradients, the finished brand has a clean and open air feel that is represented through all stationary, print ads and signage.

"

Starting our first small business was an anxious time.  However, one positive experience throughout the entire process was working with Cats Media. Their staff are professional, personable, and extremely talented..... they were dedicated to completing our projects in a timely fashion and within budget... We simply cannot envision having started our company without the help of Cats Media; their work will forever remain a part of us.

We also introduced a new more luxurious colour palette.

"

The idea of "re branding" or "properly branding" myself became a goal I had no idea what to expect or where to start and I felt comfortable relying on Tracy to do what she does best knowing the results would be amazing.

SCOPE OF WORK

Book layout.

THE CASE

BRSL required an Emergency Preparedness handbook that they could provide to their properties. The handbook needed to be broken into easy to reference tabs, with content clearly laid out.

OUR APPROACH

We created a series of icons for the different categories that could later be used on informative presentations. All our typography and colour choices had accessibility as our core priority. Consistent placement of content across the different sections makes the direction quick to reference during crisis.

"

NORTHUMBERLAND

PROJECT

SCOPE OF WORK

Website design.

THE CASE

The Ontario Agri-Food Venture Center is a not-for-profit small batch processing plant created and maintained by Northumberland County. As part of the launch of the center,  Northumberland County needed a website that reflected the center in ease of use and accessibility.

OUR APPROACH

Keeping the target market; Farmers, at the top of mind, Cats Media developed a website to support the Agri-Center that was high on function. We aimed to replicate the experience found at the Agri-Center, intuitive, easy and helpful. The site has a minimalist design, used only to support the navigation process. Through the website, users can create profiles, book multiple rooms in the facility, and receive  notifications pertinent to their specific needs. The website is optimized for a complete mobile and tablet experience.

Cats Media provides quick, dependable, friendly service by staff that are incredibly creative and experienced. In designing the OAFVC website, their staff took the time to understand our goals, intent, objectives and client base, to ensure our website addressed our needs in a user-friendly way. The Cats Media staff has been accessible and prompt in answering all of our questions, and helpful in returning our inquiries with a friendly answer. Cats Media has taken time and consideration to ensure our website runs smoothly. Overall, we have had a positive experience building our website with Cats Media and would recommend their services to anyone looking for a professional, customized website.

THE SOCIAL

PORT HOPE

PROJECT

SCOPE OF WORK

Visual identity.

Environmental design.

Website design.

THE CASE

Our food is fresh, local and hearty and wine is on tap! What more could you ask? THE SOCIAL. When the locals choose it you know it’s the right choice.

OUR APPROACH

While creating the identity for The Social, we pulled our inspiration from Victorian era illustrations and vintage letterpress designs. The branding was developed to have a vintage industrial feel, maintaining a harmony of white space through all the mediums. Our imagery utilizes highly detailed, hand illustrations paired with a simple colour palette.

CTAC

TORONTO

PROJECT

SCOPE OF WORK

Creative storyboard.

Motion graphics video.

THE CASE

CTAC is Canada’s national civil society organization addressing access to treatment, care and support for people living with HIV. CTAC meaningfully engages community members, service providers, policymakers and researchers to identify, develop and implement policy and program solutions.

OUR APPROACH

The Canadian Treatment Action Council approached Cats Media to partner with them in creating a video illustrating the Canadian drug review process to help educate the public. The challenge was to create a storyboard, that was visually engaging and could highlight key elements of the script. Once the storyboard was finalized, we created the corresponding 2D animations using a colour palette of fun trendy colours.

"

The response to the video was extraordinary and we roll it out regularly. Our hits on the video via facebook literally surpassed all of our other videos by about 25 times the reach. Amazing stuff and we want more for sure.
